One of the most energetic people I know is my close friend, Minh. I first met him during university, and even back then, he was someone who was always on the go. While most students struggled to balance their studies and social life, Minh somehow managed to excel in his classes, play on the football team, and volunteer for various charity events.

What makes him truly remarkable is his boundless energy. He wakes up at 5 AM to go jogging, then spends his entire day being productive. Even after a long day, instead of relaxing, he prefers to hit the gym or engage in some outdoor activities. I honestly don’t know where he gets all that energy from! More importantly, he’s not just physically active but also mentally sharp. He always has new ideas and is eager to take on new challenges.

Personally, I find Minh incredibly inspiring. His enthusiasm and motivation push me to be more active and make better use of my time. However, sometimes I wonder if he ever gets tired! Overall, I truly admire his ability to work tirelessly while still maintaining a positive attitude. He’s a perfect example of someone who proves that energy isn’t just about physical strength but also about having the right mindset and passion for life.

🎤 Part 3: Follow-up Questions & Answers

1. What kinds of jobs need a lot of physical work?

Ideas 💡

  • Construction work 👷 (heavy lifting, operating machinery)
  • Agriculture 🌾 (farming, planting, harvesting)
  • Delivery jobs 🚚 (transporting goods)
  • Emergency services 🚑 (firefighters, paramedics)

Collocations 🌟

  1. Demand physical endurance 🏋️ (yêu cầu sức bền thể chất)
  2. Hands-on work 🤲 (công việc thực hành nhiều)
  3. Physically demanding jobs 💪 (công việc đòi hỏi thể lực cao)

Sample Answer 🎤

Many jobs require a lot of physical endurance, such as construction work, farming, and delivery services. These jobs involve hands-on work and often require workers to be on their feet for long hours, lifting heavy objects or working in extreme weather conditions. Additionally, emergency services like firefighting or paramedics are also physically demanding, as they involve high-pressure situations that require strength and quick reflexes.

2. What’s the difference between the payment for physical work and that for mental work?

Ideas 💡

  • Physical work: Often lower wages, labor-intensive, but some high-risk jobs pay well
  • Mental work: Higher salaries, requires education and specialized skills

Collocations 🌟

  1. Manual labor 🔨 (lao động chân tay)
  2. Skilled professionals 🎓 (chuyên gia có kỹ năng)
  3. High-paying careers 💰 (nghề nghiệp lương cao)

Sample Answer 🎤

There is a significant difference between manual labor and skilled professional work in terms of salary. Jobs that require physical effort often pay less, especially if they don’t require specialized skills or training. However, some physically demanding jobs, like oil rig workers or professional athletes, can be high-paying careers due to the risks involved. On the other hand, jobs that require mental skills, such as doctors, engineers, or IT professionals, typically pay more because they require advanced education and expertise.

3. Can physical workers receive higher salaries in the future?

Ideas 💡

  • Yes: Higher demand for skilled labor, shortage of workers in certain industries
  • No: Automation and AI may replace manual jobs

Collocations 🌟

  1. Labor shortage 🚧 (thiếu lao động)
  2. Higher demand for skilled workers 📈 (nhu cầu cao cho lao động có tay nghề)
  3. Risk of automation 🤖 (nguy cơ bị thay thế bởi tự động hóa)

Sample Answer 🎤

It is possible that physical workers could receive higher salaries in the future, especially in industries facing a labor shortage. For example, skilled electricians, plumbers, and technicians are already in high demand, and their wages are increasing. However, the risk of automation may limit salary growth, as machines and robots are increasingly capable of performing many manual jobs efficiently and at a lower cost.

4. Do you think machines could replace human workers in the future?

Ideas 💡

  • Yes: AI and automation are advancing rapidly
  • No: Some jobs require human creativity, emotions, and decision-making

Collocations 🌟

  1. Artificial intelligence (AI) revolution 🤖 (cuộc cách mạng AI)
  2. Human touch 🤝 (yếu tố con người)
  3. Repetitive tasks 🔄 (công việc lặp đi lặp lại)

Sample Answer 🎤

Machines have already replaced many repetitive tasks in industries like manufacturing and customer service. With the AI revolution, more jobs will likely be automated. However, I don’t think machines can completely replace humans, especially in jobs that require a human touch, such as healthcare, teaching, or creative fields like art and design.

5. Do you think you are an energetic person?

Sample Answer 🎤

I would say I am moderately energetic. I try to stay active by exercising regularly and maintaining a positive mindset, but I am not as hyperactive as some people I know. I think energy is not just about physical strength but also about having enthusiasm for what you do. As long as I feel motivated and excited about my work and hobbies, I consider myself energetic in my own way.

6. Do you think there was more physical labor in the past than there is now?

Sample Answer 🎤

Yes, definitely. In the past, most jobs involved manual labor, especially in agriculture, construction, and manufacturing. People had to do everything by hand because technology was not as advanced as it is today. Nowadays, machines and automation have significantly reduced the need for physical labor. While some physically demanding jobs still exist, many industries have shifted towards jobs that require technical skills and knowledge rather than pure physical strength.
