1. Phân tích đề bài

Trước khi viết bài, bạn cần phân tích kỹ đề bài để xác định:

• Chủ đề: Bản đồ mô tả sự thay đổi của một khu vực ven biển ở Úc từ năm 1950 đến hiện tại.
• Số lượng bản đồ: Hai bản đồ (một của năm 1950 và một của hiện tại).
• Dạng thay đổi: Sự phát triển, mở rộng và bổ sung các tiện ích.
• Thì sử dụng: Quá khứ đơn (miêu tả năm 1950) và hiện tại đơn (miêu tả bây giờ).

2. Bố cục bài viết

📌 Introduction – Mở bài

✅ Nêu mục đích của bài viết bằng cách paraphrase đề bài.

• Cấu trúc:
  • “The two maps illustrate + what they show + time period.”
  • “The maps compare the changes in…”

🔹 Bài mẫu mở bài:
“The two maps illustrate the changes in a beachfront area in Australia between 1950 and the present day.”

📌 Overview – Tổng quan

✅ Tóm tắt hai thay đổi chính (tăng thêm cái gì, mất đi cái gì, mở rộng cái gì).
✅ Không cần nêu số liệu cụ thể, chỉ cần đề cập đến xu hướng thay đổi.

• Cấu trúc hữu ích:
  • “Overall, the area has undergone significant development, with the addition of…”
  • “The most notable changes include…”

🔹 Bài mẫu overview:
“Overall, the area has undergone significant development, with the addition of new facilities and the expansion of existing amenities. The most notable changes include the replacement of the playground, the introduction of a surf club, and the expansion of one of the swimming pools.”

3. Viết thân bài chi tiết

📌 Body 1 – Miêu tả bản đồ năm 1950

✅ Miêu tả vị trí của các công trình có trên bản đồ 1950.
✅ Dùng các giới từ chỉ vị trí: near, next to, beside, in the middle of, to the left/right of, close to.

🔹 Cấu trúc hữu ích:

• “In 1950, the area featured…”
• “There was/were…”
• “Located near the road was…”

🔹 Bài mẫu thân bài 1:
“In 1950, the beachfront area featured a playground near the road, along with dining tables and a pavilion. A car park was also located next to the main road. There were two 25-meter pools—one near the lighthouse and another closer to the middle of the beach.”

📌 Body 2 – Miêu tả bản đồ hiện tại và so sánh sự thay đổi

✅ Nêu những thay đổi quan trọng nhất (cái gì bị thay thế, cái gì được thêm vào, cái gì mở rộng).
✅ Sử dụng các động từ chỉ sự thay đổi:

• Thêm mới: “has been added”, “has been constructed/built”, “a new… has appeared.”
• Bị thay thế: “has been replaced by…”, “has disappeared and been replaced with…”
• Mở rộng: “has been expanded”, “has been enlarged.”
• Giữ nguyên: “remains unchanged”, “has not changed.”

🔹 Cấu trúc hữu ích:

• “Today, a new… has been built…”
• “Additionally, one of the pools has been expanded from… to…”
• “While the… remains unchanged, a new… has appeared.”

🔹 Bài mẫu thân bài 2:
“Today, a restaurant has been added closer to the beach, and another surf club has been built to the left of the beach. Additionally, one of the pools has been expanded from 25 meters to 50 meters, while the other pool, next to the lighthouse, remains unchanged. The pavilion, the car park next to it, and the dining tables are still present, but the playground has been replaced with an additional car park.”

4. Tổng kết và lưu ý quan trọng

✅ Từ vựng quan trọng:

• Facilities: pavilion, restaurant, surf club, car park, playground, dining tables, lighthouse.
• Verbs for changes: replaced, expanded, constructed, removed, built, added.
• Prepositions of location: near, beside, next to, close to, in the middle of.

✅ Cấu trúc hay nên dùng:

• “Over the years, the area has been transformed significantly.”
• “Compared to 1950, the modern-day beachfront area has undergone notable changes.”
• “While some facilities have remained unchanged, many new ones have been introduced.”

🔥 Tóm lại, để viết tốt dạng bài MAPS, bạn cần:
✅ Mở bài: Paraphrase đề bài.
✅ Overview: Đề cập đến 2-3 thay đổi lớn.
✅ Thân bài 1: Miêu tả bản đồ cũ (1950).
✅ Thân bài 2: Miêu tả bản đồ mới (hiện tại) + so sánh thay đổi.
✅ Dùng từ vựng và cấu trúc miêu tả thay đổi hợp lý.

Hướng dẫn chi tiết cách viết IELTS Writing Task 1 (Dạng Bar Chart)

1. Phân tích đề bài

Trước khi viết bài, bạn cần phân tích kỹ biểu đồ:
✅ Xác định loại biểu đồ → Đây là biểu đồ cột (bar chart).
✅ Nhận diện các trục:

• Trục hoành (X-axis): Các khu vực trên thế giới (India, East Africa, Latin America, North America).
• Trục tung (Y-axis):
  • Biểu đồ đầu: Lượng protein tiêu thụ (đơn vị: units), phân loại thành protein động vật (animal protein) và protein khác (other protein).
  • Biểu đồ thứ hai: Lượng calo tiêu thụ (đơn vị: calories).
    ✅ Xác định xu hướng chính (key trends):
• Bắc Mỹ tiêu thụ protein và calo cao nhất.
• Ấn Độ có mức tiêu thụ thấp nhất.
• Mức tiêu thụ protein từ động vật ở Bắc Mỹ cao hơn nhiều so với các khu vực khác.
• Mức calo trung bình ở Bắc Mỹ vượt mức tiêu chuẩn, trong khi các khu vực khác thấp hơn hoặc gần với mức lý tưởng.

2. Cấu trúc bài viết chuẩn

Bài viết Task 1 gồm 4 đoạn:

🔹 1. Introduction (Mở bài):

• Viết lại đề bài bằng cách paraphrase (dùng từ đồng nghĩa, thay đổi cấu trúc câu).

🔹 2. Overview (Tổng quan):

• Tóm tắt 2-3 đặc điểm chính của biểu đồ.
• Không đi vào số liệu chi tiết.

🔹 3. Body 1 (Chi tiết – Protein intake):

• Mô tả dữ liệu về lượng protein tiêu thụ.
• So sánh sự khác biệt giữa các khu vực.

🔹 4. Body 2 (Chi tiết – Calorie intake):

• Mô tả dữ liệu về lượng calo tiêu thụ.
• So sánh mức tiêu thụ calo giữa các khu vực.

3. Hướng dẫn viết từng phần

1️⃣ Introduction (Mở bài)

📌 Nguyên tắc:

• Viết lại đề bài theo cách khác, không sao chép nguyên văn.
• Giới thiệu ngắn gọn nội dung của biểu đồ.

📌 Ví dụ từ bài mẫu:
The bar charts illustrate the intake levels of two types of nutrients, protein and calories, among people in different regions worldwide.

📌 Phân tích:

• Dùng động từ “illustrate” thay vì “show” để đa dạng từ vựng.
• Dùng cụm từ “intake levels” thay cho “consumption”.
• Chuyển “people in different parts of the world” → “people in different regions worldwide” để tránh trùng lặp từ.

📝 Công thức mở bài chung:
“The [type of chart] illustrates/shows [what the chart represents] in [time period, if applicable].”

2️⃣ Overview (Tổng quan – Quan sát xu hướng chính)

📌 Nguyên tắc:

• Không sử dụng số liệu cụ thể.
• Chỉ mô tả xu hướng chính.
• Dùng Overall để bắt đầu đoạn.

📌 Ví dụ từ bài mẫu:
Overall, people in North America consume the highest amount of protein compared to other regions, followed by Latin America and East Africa. India, however, records the lowest intake. A similar pattern can be observed in calorie consumption.

📌 Phân tích:

• Bắt đầu bằng “Overall” → Đây là cách viết chuẩn trong Task 1.
• Nhấn mạnh Bắc Mỹ có mức tiêu thụ cao nhất, Ấn Độ thấp nhất.
• So sánh xu hướng tương tự ở cả protein và calo để tạo sự liên kết.

📝 Công thức tổng quan chung:
“Overall, [general trend about the highest/lowest values]. Additionally, [another key trend].”

3️⃣ Body 1 (Chi tiết về Protein intake)

📌 Nguyên tắc:

• Mô tả số liệu chi tiết.
• So sánh giữa các khu vực.
• Dùng các từ nối như “followed by”, “meanwhile”, “in contrast”.

📌 Ví dụ từ bài mẫu:
North America leads in protein intake with nearly 80 units per day, making it the only region to exceed the ideal consumption level. Additionally, 62% of its protein comes from animal sources, a significantly higher proportion than other sources. Latin America follows with approximately 45 units per day, also with a large proportion derived from animals. Meanwhile, East Africa and India exhibit similar consumption levels, around 30 units per day, with an equal distribution between animal-based and other sources.

📌 Phân tích:

• Dùng từ nối tốt → “leads in”, “followed by”, “meanwhile”.
• Sử dụng số liệu chính xác nhưng không lạm dụng số quá nhiều.
• Nhấn mạnh vào sự khác biệt giữa Bắc Mỹ và các khu vực khác.

📝 Công thức mô tả dữ liệu:
“The [region] has the highest/lowest [category] at [number], followed by [region] with [number]. Meanwhile, [region] and [region] share similar levels at around [number].”

4️⃣ Body 2 (Chi tiết về Calorie intake)

📌 Nguyên tắc:

• Mô tả xu hướng tương tự như phần protein.
• Chú ý đến mức lý tưởng (ideal calorie intake).
• Sử dụng từ nối để làm rõ sự khác biệt.

📌 Ví dụ từ bài mẫu:
In terms of calorie intake, North America again ranks the highest, consuming 3,500 calories per day—well above the recommended 3,000-calorie threshold. Latin America falls slightly below this ideal level, at 2,900 calories per day. Meanwhile, East Africa and India average around 2,000 calories daily, significantly lower than the suggested intake.

📌 Phân tích:

• Dùng “in terms of” để chuyển ý mượt mà.
• Sử dụng cụm từ “well above”, “slightly below”, “significantly lower” để diễn tả mức độ khác biệt.

📝 Công thức mô tả dữ liệu:
“In terms of [category], [region] has the highest value at [number], which is [comparison to the ideal level]. Meanwhile, [region] and [region] record around [number], significantly [higher/lower] than the recommended amount.”

4. Kết luận

🔹 Viết IELTS Writing Task 1 cần:
✅ Phân tích biểu đồ trước khi viết.
✅ Chia bài thành 4 phần (Introduction, Overview, Body 1, Body 2).
✅ Sử dụng từ vựng đa dạng, từ nối hợp lý.
✅ Chú ý mô tả xu hướng chính trước, sau đó mới đi vào chi tiết.
