One memorable time when my family asked for my help was last year when we moved to a new house 🏡. It was a big event for us because we had lived in our old house for over ten years. Since moving can be exhausting, my parents needed all the help they could get, and I was happy to lend a helping hand ✋.
On the day of the move, my parents and I woke up early to start packing 📦. My job was to organize our books and fragile items, while my dad focused on moving furniture. I also helped my younger sister pack her toys and clothes because she felt overwhelmed 😖. Since my grandmother couldn’t do any heavy lifting, I also assisted her by setting up her new room and making sure she was comfortable.
The most challenging part was carrying the heavy boxes up and down the stairs! It was physically demanding, and I felt like I was getting a full workout 🏋️. However, I knew that if I pulled my weight, the process would be faster. After hours of hard work, we finally settled into our new home. That evening, we ordered food and celebrated our successful move with a small family dinner 🍕.
Honestly, I felt really proud of myself. Helping my family gave me a sense of duty 💪, and I realized how important it is to be there for my loved ones 🤝. If I had not helped, my parents would have struggled a lot more. This experience taught me a valuable lesson 📖 about responsibility and teamwork. Since then, I have been more willing to help around the house whenever needed!

- Strike a balance ⚖️ (tạo sự cân bằng)
Sample answer
I don’t think parents should help their children with everything because it can lead to overprotective parenting 🛡️, which might make kids too dependent. However, parents should also strike a balance ⚖️ and support their kids when needed.
